Season 3 biggest loser winner gained it back...
Just saw online that the winner from season 3, Eric Chopin, gained back 122 pounds back after the show ended. He had lost 214 on the show. He said he fell into a depression once all the notarity from the show faded. That's really tough to see. As a fan of the show I always try and think positive for the contestants, that they are going to keep up with thier diet and exercise. But this goes to show that just losing the weight isn't enough. It has to be a lifelong commitment. The other thing that I was thinking about, was I wonder if the show does any kind of follow up support, or if once the season is over they just kind of leave you on your own? I would think it would be in thier best interest to continue to keep the past contestants on the right track.
I felt so bad for Jerry last night on Biggest Loser
I was watching last night's Biggest Loser, and Jerry, the oldest contestant, and Daniel, the biggest male contest, fell below the yellow line. The two people who really needed to be there, and they had to vote one of them off. I think that Joelle should have offered to give up her spot to whoever got voted off. It just wasn't fair. She wasn't putting in the effort that everyone else was, and she got to stay. I guess it goes to show that life isn't fair, even in reality tv.
The Biggest Loser
While I was channel surfing last weekend, I saw the weighing in of the show "The Biggest Loser". In this weigh in, the contestants have to weigh in an see how many pounds they lost after a week of none-stop workout. As I was watching, I can't help but be amazed that some of them are able to loose 13 or even 20+ pounds in one week. I know they have the help of trainors but still it's a feat in itself. I mean, I have been working out and all but I haven't lost more than about 3 or 4 punds in a MONTH! Wel, I am not sure if this is even true but I want to give them the benefit of my doubt.
Biggest Loser or American Idol?
Tonight, at 8 Eastern, American Idol will be premiering on FOX while the second week of Biggest Loser will appear on NBC. Which will you be watching? In my opinion, Biggest Loser has more of an inspirational aspect to it. It is great to see people learning how to reclaim their lives by losing the excess weight that they are carrying. While there is more of a competition aspect between the 'players' as they are the ones that decide who stays or goes, I think that it has some redeeming qualities.American Idol, at least in the early audition weeks, has more of an entertainment value. Seeing the 'bad' auditions is always a sure source of laughs for me.On the plus side, it is possible to see both because NBC will post the full episode of the Biggest Loser on their website www.nbc.com a day or so after it airs. While FOX also posts full episodes of some their shows, American Idol does not appear to be one of them.As well, it is possible to record one while watching the other but not everyone has that ability. So, my question is: if you could only watch one of the two, which would it be?
so what did you think about the twist for biggest loser?
So My husband and I watched biggest loser last night and were blown away with the end of the show with there game twist.I mean come on these poor people are there to lose weight and they bring them on to the show let them stay for one week and kick off 9 people.I mean the show is suppost to be teams, now its not like teams I didnt like the twist at all,I hope the rest of the season is not a disappointment as well. What did you think of last night show?
What do you eat while watching the biggest loser?
Ok, so the new season started last night, and we sat down ate Pizza, Chips & caso, and drank beer for the initial eppisode. It is kind of a tradition for us to eat terrible food and watch people get in shape. Oddly enough, the show is on when I normally exercise in my basement, so a show about fitness pulls me away from my exercise and puts me on the couch. Anyone else do anything simular?
Biggest Loser AT WORK Contest!
My friends from work and I (5 people total) are in a contest: Whomever loses 10 pounds first will win. All the others who didn't win each pay $5 to the winner. I know it isn't much money, but we're doing it almost solely for motivational purposes. Have you ever done this at your work or amongst friends? We're all weighing ourselves today and plan on doing so each Wednesday -- please wish me luck!>:-P
I find it interesting that . . . (Biggest Loser Discussion)
when asked for reasons for losing weight on Biggest loser the people on the show always have these great reasons, for my kids, for my partner, etc., They never say for themselves. It seems to be the only reality show where you can't be selfish and be in it for the money or just for yourself. Does anyone else find that odd? If you are dieting, or changing your lifestyle, why are you losing weight? I have lost 20 pounds and I have been losing weight because my soon to be ex-husband (he left me) told me ever day for a year that I was fat and that he was no longer attracted to me. Now I want to lose weight, and be healthy and be attractive. I want to be able to do the things my friends do and I want my body not to hurt anymore. Now that I have time for myself, I want to take care of myself. So tell me, what motivates you to lose weight?es not appear to be one of them.As well, it is possible to record one while watching the other but not everyone has that ability. So, my question is: if you could only watch one of the two, which would it be?

The Biggest Loser
The new season of The Biggest Loser started tonight on NBC. I just LOVE this show! The host, Alison Sweeney, is beautiful and so warm and kind toward the contestants. Although I think that Jillian is a bit over the top sometimes, she and Bob do an amazing job of motivating the cast and getting them in shape. This show really brings about incredible transformations...not only of the contestants' bodies, but also of their entire lives.Who else will be watching this season with me? Have you watched previous seasons? Do you have a favorite Biggest Loser contestant?
